Stop Letting People Drain You
In this video, we’ll talk about why protecting your energy isn’t cruel, why boundaries are not an act of war, and why saying “no” does not require a twelve-page apology.
Some people walk into your life and bring peace. Others walk in, sit down, plug directly into your nervous system, and leave with a full charge, but leave you drained.
You know the type. Every conversation becomes a crisis, every favor becomes a permanent assignment, and somehow their emergency keeps becoming your schedule. By the time they leave, you need coffee, a nap, and possibly a new identity.
The trouble is, good people often confuse kindness with unlimited access. They keep giving, explaining, fixing, rescuing, and answering the phone because they don’t want to seem selfish.
Meanwhile, the other person is using their patience like a free public utility. You can care about people without carrying them.
Sometimes the kindest thing you can do, for yourself and everyone else, is stop letting people drain you.
